    Join us for an exciting new opportunity for women. Great place to bring a friend and connect with other women at FLC. Bring a yoga mat, towel, and water bottle. Low impact exercise class including Pilates and dance type exercises with a certified instructor. Register Here.

    A relaxing morning of Bible journaling, prayer, fellowship and a devotion on         Psalm 34:4. Bring your own art supplies or use the colored pencils and coloring sheets provided. Join us whether you have been journaling for years or are interested in where or how to start. Led by Jessie Forton. Register Here


    Free childcare is available (infants—age 5). Pre-registration for childcare is required to ensure a safe place for your child. Childcare check-in begins at 9 am and walk-ins are accepted after 9:30 am if an opening is available.


  • Baby Basics

    Wednesdays 6:30-8pm

    January 18, February 15, March 15, April 19, May 10

     

    Designed for pregnant or new moms (with babies up to 1 yr). In an informal setting moms will receive scriptural encouragement and learn about such topics as emotional well-being of mom, social/emotional development, early language, healthy sleep habits, your relationship with your husband after the baby, reading with your baby, how to handle a fussy baby, and much more! Moms will also hear some practical advice from a pediatrician and other well trained professionals. Babies up to 1 year are welcome in the class. Childcare for older children can be made through FaithKids on Wednesday nights or younger ones in the nursery. Coordinator: Megan Atkin.   • CraFTing to Serve Others

    2nd & 4th Thursdays 6:30–8:30 pm

    This group provides fellowship with other crafters while creating items such as prayer shawls, lap blankets, scarves, and hats to give to persons/organizations as a reminder of God's love and presence.     Sensible Women, Sensible Answers

    Mondays: June 5, 12, 19, 26, 10 am–11:30 am

    Ever get tongue tied when it comes to expressing your Christian Faith? Wish you could be “ready to give an answer to every man who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you”? (I Peter 3:15) Each of us has a close friend or family member who needs answers to the critical questions of life. You don’t have to be afraid. Let’s equip ourselves to give them the answers. Each lesson will be independent (but related). Teacher: Debbie Johnson. Registration opens May 3rd.

    for this daytime class. To ensure safety for your children (infants through children entering

    Mindful Eating: Kicking the Habits that Don't Suit You

    Wednesday, June 7, 6:30-8 pm

    Presenter: Kat Burtney, Certified Holistic Health Coach

    You will learn how eating healthy foods and making good lifestyle changes is only half the equation and how 3 simple actions can resolve many health issues. A demo will be given on kicking the sugar habit. 


    How the Environment Impacts Our Health: Wednesday, June 14, 6:30-8 pm

    Presenter: Gretchen Perry-Emery, Certified Family Nurse Practitioner

    In this interactive presentation you will learn how genes are impacted by the environment and how good nutrition improves our mood, energy and mental clarity. Learn about the mechanism behind leaky gut and the effects it can have on your mental and physical health.


    Outsmarting Alzheimer’s: Wednesday, June 21, 6:30-8 pm

    Presenter: Carol Waarala, Certified Specialist Aging/Dementia

    Since statistics show that women are more at risk for Alzheimer’s type of dementia and that women are typically the primary caregivers for loved ones with dementia, this presentation will enlighten you and prepare you with resources and interventions you can use to possibly prevent or at least delay the onset of Alzheimer’s type dementia. You will have a better understanding of dementia and how to care with persons with the condition. Carol Waarala has years of professional and personal experience in these areas. Informational booklets will be provided.


    Keep It Shut: Mondays: July 24, 31, Aug 7, 14, 21, 28, 6:30-8 pm

    In this 6 week DVD Bible Study by Karen Ehman, we will explore how to control the tongue with practical, biblically-based advice for those times you struggle with what to say. Each session features a different character from the Bible, using them either as an example of someone to emulate or whose verbal actions we should avoid replicating. Unsolicited opinion-slinging, speaking the truth in love, not saying words just to people-please, and dealing with our verbal anger are sub-topics that will also be addressed. Study guide available in the church bookstore.

  • Creating Canvas

    Friday, May 19 & Friday, August 25, 6-8 pm

    Join us for a time of fun with friends or bring someone new! Bring a friend, mom, or a sister or daughter, and you will be entered to win a prize! No art experience needed. Bring a snack or dessert to pass and paint along with Carrie Bladecki as you create your own work of art. Cost: $25 (includes all supplies) and you get to take home your canvas painting.
