We are committed to provide the women of our church, their friends, and our

community opportunities to grow closer to one another and to Jesus Christ.

Our classes and events are tailored to meet your spiritual and fellowship needs.

As women we desire to:

Worship Christ in all we do.

Offer our God-given talents and gifts.

Mentor others to become disciples of Christ.

Extend God’s love, care and support.

Nurture women in community.

    Sensible Women, Sensible Answers

    Mondays: June 5, 12, 19, 26, 10 am–11:30 am

Ever get tongue tied when it comes to expressing your Christian Faith? Wish you could be “ready to give an answer to every man who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you”? (I Peter 3:15) Each of us has a close friend or family member who needs answers to the critical questions of life. You don’t have to be afraid. Let’s equip ourselves to give them the answers. Each lesson will be independent (but related). Teacher: Debbie Johnson. Register Here.

Free Childcare. Childcare check in begins at 9:30 am. Free childcare is offered

for this daytime class. To ensure safety for your children (infants through children entering

grade 5 in the fall), pre-registration is required 1 week prior to class date. Check in for childcare begins at 9:30 am and walk-ins for childcare are accepted after 10 am if an opening is available.

If you sign up for childcare and plans change, please call Heather Shaw at 248-689-4713 x219 since the   Women’s Ministry pays for the number of children registered.

    Evening Classes

Spring into Fitness - Tuesdays, through June 26, 7- 8 pm

    Student Center North

Join us for an exciting new opportunity for women for all ages and levels of fitness. Great place to bring a friend and connect with other women at Faith. Bring a mat, towel, and water bottle. Low impact exercise class including Pilates and dance type exercises with Emma Jackman, a certified instructor. No class on May 30th.  No charge to attend. Register Here.

    Outsmarting Alzheimer’s: Wednesday, June 21, 6:30-8 pm

Presenter: Carol Waarala, Certified Specialist Aging/Dementia

Since statistics show that women are more at risk for Alzheimer’s type of dementia and that women are typically the primary caregivers for loved ones with dementia, this presentation will enlighten you and prepare you with resources and interventions you can use to possibly prevent or at least delay the onset of Alzheimer’s type dementia. You will have a better understanding of dementia and how to care with persons with the condition. Carol Waarala has years of professional and personal experience in these areas. Informational booklets will be provided. Register Here.

    Keep It Shut: Mondays: July 24, 31, Aug 7, 14, 21, 28, 6:30-8 pm

In this 6 week DVD Bible Study by Karen Ehman, we will explore how to control the tongue with practical, biblically-based advice for those times you struggle with what to say. Each session features a different character from the Bible, using them either as an example of someone to emulate or whose verbal actions we should avoid replicating. Unsolicited opinion-slinging, speaking the truth in love, not saying words just to people-please, and dealing with our verbal anger are sub-topics that will also be addressed. Study guide available in the church bookstore. Register Here.  Leader: Casey Williamson.

Bible Journaling: Tuesday, August 15, 6:30-8 pm

A relaxing evening of Bible journaling, prayer, and fellowship. Bring your own art supplies or use the colored pencils and coloring sheets provided. Join us whether you have been journaling for years or are interested in how to start.

Register Here.  Led by Jessie Forton
