In the midst of this crisis, we are partnering with a number of groups in our community to help provide needs.
We actively have a plan to work with House of Hope Ministry who serves in neighborhoods in Lake Orion and Oxford. They are currently going through at least 30 sandwiches per day in order to provide lunches to kids who normally rely on their school system. This does not include breakfast needs or dinner needs that have come because the loss of work. Many of these families are also in need of childcare in order to continue working.
Elli's House has expressed need for wipes, wash clothes, and also food for the communities they are serving in Detroit.
We are actively engaged in conversations with local school districts to find out ways that we might be able to assist with any food needs or distribution due to the impact of school being cancelled.
If you have food pantry needs or would like to donate, email Tony Boos.
