  • Men's Juarez Mission Trip

    Our mission is to provide support and bring hope to those in helpless situations. We all have something to give.  Casas for Cristo mission trip is an opportunity for men of all ages, skill levels, and backgrounds to come together to build a home for a family in need.


    On our trip, the team will build a home for a family from start to finish. Through the local churches, sponsors, and volunteer teams, Casas por Cristo is poised to meet this basic need for survival in the name of Jesus. 


    You can be a part of the rebirth of this proud and historic city that we love so much.

  • Brazil Mission Trip

    Mar 27 - Apr 6, 2020

    Porto Alegre, Brazil. Work with over 2500 children, teachers and staff at three Lutheran schools to share the message of Christ's love. These schools are all located in the favelas (slums) and the team will have large and small-group programs as well as a program for the teachers and staff at each school. We will also visit an orphanage/institute that ministers to orphans, seniors and children that are unable to be cared for by their families. $2000. John Zamzow, jzamzow@faithtroy.org

  • Dominican Republic Mission College-Age

    May 11-17, 2020

    Short term mission opportunity to the Dominican Republic. We work with Casas Por Cristo and build a home for a local family in need. No construction experience necessary. $1,100 Includes: flight, baggage fees, food, lodging, construction costs, and in country transportation. Register without a deposit. Upon registration, you receive meetings & payment schedule. Deposit due Feb 2, 2020

  • Jacmel, Haiti

    Spring / Summer 2020

    Working in partnership with Ministry in Mission, we will be doing a variety of tasks to help a local Lutheran church, orphanage and elder care home minister to the lives of the Haitian people. This is an opportunity for adults, college age, or high school students (accompanied with a parent). We primarily work at a dental clinic and run soccer clinics. Opportunities for teaching ESL and light construction is also possible. $900 + airfare.

  • Acuña Family Mission Trip

    June 22-27, 2020

    Open to parents and their middle school or high school students. Build a home for a family in need. Casas por Cristo provides the foreman and all the building materials. No construction experience necessary. The cost of the home has been paid for by a generous, anonymous donor from Faith. $400 per person. Includes: 2 nights hotel, all food, lodging, and transportation in Mexico and while in Texas. You purchase your own flight to San Antonio. Register for Acuña

  • High School West Virginia Mission Trip

    April 4 - 10, 2020

    Join us as we head to Alderson West Virginia to partner with Christ Our Savior of the Valley Church to repair homes and share the love of Jesus. We work mainly on roofs, ramps and porches. This is a great opportunity for high school students to have new experiences, serve others, make new friends and grow in their faith. 

    $300 Student, $150 Adult Leader. Deposit $50.

  • UP Michigan Mission

    Gwinn, MI • Jul 23 - 27, 2020

    Open to adults of all ages and stages of life, and families with kids ages 10 and up. This is no ordinary VBS. We plan, create and lead VBS, lead sports events, and make meals for a community that desperately needs the message of hope and healing. If you want to make a real difference in the lives of kids, this is the place to be. Held at Victory Lutheran Church in Gwinn, MI. $100 per person, with a cap of $350 per family.

  • STEPHEN MINISTRIES

    Are you going through a difficult time? Stephen Ministers are members of our church who receive special training to provide one-to-one Christian care to people in our church and community. Stephen Ministers listen, care, encourage, and provide emotional and spiritual support to people who are facing a crisis or going through tough times. The care you receive is confidential, free, and very helpful.

  • Frontline

    Frontline exists to help people in need and to challenge men to serve those in our community who have a need and can give nothing in return. 

    If you have a need for assistance around your home, please complete the Frontline Project Request Form. We will try our best to meet your need. Regardless if we can meet your need or not, it is our goal to contact you within 72 hours of receiving your request.

  • Meals for families IN NEED

    Family of God Is a church store front that brings hope to Detroit by providing meals  and spiritual support to people in need. Volunteers are needed to cook casserole style meals and/or deliver meals. We provide the ingredients and recipes. Email Carol Townsend for more details.





  • Prayer partner for at risk kids

    Pray for individual children involved in our city ministries. Email Caroline Sellers for more info. .






  • FLC Food Pantry

    Donations of non-perishable food donations & paper goods can be dropped off anytime in the bin near the gym & vending machines. We help local families, friends, & church members with temporary food assistance. Tuesdays 5 - 6:30pm.

  • Gifts for all gods children workshops

    Support inner city churches in their mission to bring Christ to local families for Christmas Gifts, Easter Baskets and school supplies. Help with organizing supplies and wrapping gifts. Email Patti Jacques for more information. 






  • Connecting kids to christ

    Support city churches in their mission to bring Jesus to all. Various places to serve: Sunday School, After School Tutoring, Summer Camps, and Holiday Parties.

  • elli's house

    We offer a safe haven for young women affected by sex trafficking. Our street outreach teams will reach out to young women who work on the streets, and at times visit drug houses, to initiate conversations and build trusting friendships. We provide a safe place for girls to receive medical services, mental health services, educational assistance and social service programs in order to rebuild a quality life with a safe living environment.
